I learned a neat trick from Givitas which is to have a structured way for people to give and receive help.
Sometimes we don’t know we need something until it’s offered…so this is a “Give” Thread. If you’re looking to offer help, list anything you’re willing and able to offer - time, money, skills, ideas, knowledge…the list goes on.
There’s a separate thread for receiving help in general, where we can list anything, big or small, we need help with during this trying time.

Great idea! I can offer:
In general: writing notes to lonely or dis-spritied individuals, expierence in organizing care calls, and assistence in preparing for the college application process from home.
In the Northern Virgnia area: detailed lists of resources from food assistance to educational materials in Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria, delivery of groceries to a few seniors, and tutoring in Spanish or college prep.
This is my first post, hope I’ll be notified if anyone needs any of these things?
